Thought it would be of interest to put up the video of the SIV course Marcus and I did with Michael Nessler and Gudrun Öschl at lake Garda last October. Continue reading “SIV training”
It’s Mother’s Day in France, and I was woken with breakfast in bed, courtesy of six-year-old Jasper (a compote and spoon), delivered with some lovely cards and presents made at school from both boys. We’d left the step ladder out, as requested, so that Jasper could retrieve the bag he’d hidden from me, from high on the shelves.
We rewarded them with a slightly-longer-than-we’d-thought walk along the ridge from the Greolieres-les-Neiges road to Col de Bleyne take-off, where Marcus had left the car after flying this morning. (Rather stable conditions; the flight was not one of his longest). Continue reading “Mother’s Day ridge walk”
I’ve just had my confirmation email through to say I’m entered in the Extreme Energy Druid Challenge this November. Yippee, I think. Continue reading “Druid Challenge: running the Ridgeway in November”
Hike and Fly fun with Little Cloud’s Bidule mini-tandem, on the Cheiron.
Marcus made this film last autumn, but it’s still one of our favourite things to do in the morning.
Oh, and the video apparently won Go Pro’s video of the day!
Lots of fun!
Yesterday Annie the shepherdess stopped me in the village, and asked us not to land in our usual (unofficial) landing field as the long grass in it is being grown for sheep food. Continue reading “Feeding Sheep”
The winter is almost over. The blossoms are out in Cipieres and the trees are in bud. The local ski resort is closing at the weekend, but I jumped in the van with Verity Sowden and Anthony Green and we sped up to Flaine, to take part in the last vol et ski event in the French calendar this season.
